What do I do to get saved and become a Child of God?

Dear God in Heaven, Thank you for the gift of Jesus Christ. I believe He died for my sins that I might have eternal life. I ask you to forgive me of all my sins. I accept Jesus now as my Lord and Savior and confess His rule over my life from this moment and the rest of my days. I choose life by turning from the sins of my past to a new life in Jesus.

I believe, according to your word that I am a child of God now. Thank you for this wonderful gift of salvation. I, therefore, ask you to fill me with the Holy Spirit, peace, and joy. Let the beauty of Jesus show forth in me. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen.
